Arete-G: The Demetrix Difference

At Demetrix, we’ve made it our mission to enrich human life by unlocking nature’s most powerful secrets and making them accessible to all.

We search for rare bioactive compounds in plants and, through rigorous research, identify those that have the most potential for enhancing human health and wellbeing.

From there, we develop a controlled manufacturing process for attractive bioactive compounds. Our proprietary fermentation technology allows us to produce industrial amounts of highly pure compounds, with a lighter environmental footprint and fewer impurities than traditional methods.

Our first product, Arete-G™, is CBG, a cannabinoid also known by its chemical name, cannabigerol. It is the first ingredient that merges our proprietary methodology, rigorous research, and sustainable manufacturing.

Let’s take a closer look at the research behind Arete-G’s proven efficacy.

Safety First

Our number one priority is safety. We tested Arete-G and determined it is safe for topical use in personal care products.

After ensuring it is safe, we then determined the potential it has for human health and wellbeing.

Arete-G is an Anti-Inflammatory Agent

Arete-G was found to interact with several receptors known to play a role in inflammation. By inhibiting signaling through these receptors, Arete-G acts as an anti-inflammatory.

Taking it further, we investigated its ability to combat inflammation in skin cells. We were excited to find that Arete-G reduced IL-8 and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) production in keratinocytes. These two compounds are known to play a role in skin inflammation.

Arete-G is an Anti-Hyperpigmentation Agent

We’ve also seen that Arete-G affects the expression of several genes involved in hyperpigmentation. Further functional testing is needed to confirm these preliminary results, but Arete-G may be useful in combating hyperpigmentation.

Arete-G is an Anti-Microbial Agent

Cannabigerol has been shown to inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus strains, including clinically relevant strains like methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA). It’s been touted as being effective against other gram-positive microbes as well.

Our laboratory also found it inhibited the growth of Malassezia furfur and Malassezia restricta, indicating it has potential as an anti-dandruff product and preventing seborrheic dermatitis.

Why Arete-G is Different

Cannabigerol has a lot of potential for bettering our lives. We are continuing to research its benefits and explore how it can help improve human health and wellbeing.

But we’re also dedicated to ensuring Arete-G is produced at high purity, using an environmentally friendly process.

Producing rare bioactives, like cannabigerol, using conventional agriculture would be difficult to do at the purity and scale that our process provides.

At Demetrix, our Arete-G is greater than 98% pure and produced with less energy, water, and land than conventional agricultural methods.

The Demetrix Difference

Demetrix makes Arete-G, through a proprietary process delivering a highly pure compound with no unintended additives that could cause irritation, and no THC, ever.

We are dedicated to ongoing research to learn more about Arete-G and other, rare bioactives. We test and retest our products to ensure safety.

Our systematic and thoughtful approach means we will only develop ingredients that demonstrate benefits to health and wellness. And our goal is to consistently deliver highly pure, sustainably produced products.

That’s the Demetrix difference.
